Last week, I came to the hard decision that it was time to abandon My Yahoo! RSS aggregator and get something more robust for my needs.
As a follow up, I am one week in to using the Omea Reader and I am loving it. At first, I had some concerns because it is a client-based service, meaning if you want to remotely access your feeds you have to use a Web-based account, like Bloglines. Omea can only be accessed from the system you have it installed on. Bloglines synchronizes with Omea very nicely and you can do any other OPML files as well.
With that as the only initial drawback, I am pleased with the features and functionality Omea provides. It has more flexibility in sorting and creating different views than the Web based RSS aggregators that I have used and it has a very nice built in browser feature that makes the whole process of consuming my daily feeds quick and easy.
Omea - Oh-My-Ah! I do love thee!
